Sony announced the PlayStation 3 will launch in Japan on November 11 and in US on November 17, 2006. The prices of the system are as follow:
PlayStation 3 w/ 20GB HDD - US$499 / 59800 yen / 499 euros
PlayStation 3 w/ 60GB HDD - US$549 / open price in Japan / 599 euros Sony expects to ship 4 million units of PlayStation 3 by the end of the year, and 6 million units by the end of March 31, 2007.
